Ben Hatler, PhD

Ben Hatler was born in 1976 in Dallas, TX. He resided in a suburb of Dallas until he turned 18 years of age. While in high school, Ben raised and sold Chinese Shar-Pei puppies. As a result of frequent trips to the local veterinary clinic, he became interested in veterinary medicine.

Ben moved to Martin, TN in 1994 to pursue a degree in Agriculture at the University of Tennessee at Martin. While in college, he worked for a veterinarian and in a laboratory.

After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin, Ben attended the University of Kentucky. By 2004, he obtained a Master of Science and a Doctorate degree. At the University of Kentucky, Ben completed advanced courses in biochemistry, physiology, reproduction, endocrinology, virology and immunology. He also designed, conducted, and analyzed multiple scientific studies investigating hormonal control of the reproductive cycle of mammals and influence of immune stimulation on normal physiological events. His research resulted in the publication of 6 articles in peer-reviewed journals, 7 abstracts and presentations, and 3 invited presentations. He also assisted in teaching courses at the University of Kentucky as a guest lecturer.

Ben Hatler began working as NEOTECH’s Director of Operations in the fall of 2004. He serves as NEOTECH’s USDA liaison, is the head of the Animal Research Department, and oversees Research and Development. Ben also provides technical support to users of NEOPAR® and NEOVAC® DA2.
